The PCI DSS-certified travel technology company traffics has been synonymous with innovative solutions in the tourism industry since 1999. traffics has been operating its own full CRS system for tourism since 2004 and is one of the leading providers of consulting and booking systems for web, TV and mobile apps. System users include more than 6,000 travel agencies as well as renowned travel portals, airlines, hotels and travel providers. As an innovative highlight, traffics invented HeliView – interactive travel booking from a helicopter perspective. The HeliView project is the winner of the M-Day App Award and the Best Practice Award, presented by the Travel Industry Club, as well as the Best Innovation Award from the Internet Travel Distribution Association (VIR).
Your tasks
- Management of the data centre infrastructure: installation, configuration and maintenance of servers and administration of network devices (switches, routers, firewalls);
- System administration: monitoring system performance and proactive troubleshooting; performing updates, patches and security configurations; managing user accounts, permissions and access controls
- Backup and recovery: Design and implementation of backup, disaster recovery and high availability strategies
- Security & compliance: Implementation and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures; monitoring of threats, vulnerabilities and incidents; ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Support & collaboration: Providing technical support to internal teams regarding infrastructure and systems; collaborating with external service providers and vendors; documenting infrastructure changes, configurations and processes
- On-call service to ensure the availability of critical systems
Profile
- Degree in computer science, information technology or comparable professional experience
- Several years of experience in system and network administration, ideally in a data centre environment
- Technical knowledge: Network protocols (TCP, UDP, IP, DNS, SNMP, FTP, etc.); firewall systems, routing, switching; virtualisation (Proxmox, QEMU); containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes); Automation and CI/CD tools (Git, Ansible, Jenkins); Databases: SQL and NoSQL (MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Elastic Stack); Monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios); Scripting (Bash, Python, Perl); Operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS)
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously; excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Certifications
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS)
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm, etc.)
