The new EXPAND cache makes the Munich-based tour operator’s entire range of holidays available via the traffics API, CosmoNaut and NEXT IBE – including airlines and flight times directly in the price comparison
Berlin, September 2026 – Capital Holidays’ (CPH) full range of holidays is now available in traffics’ EXPAND cache: all destinations and the tour operator’s entire product range, with no restrictions to selected offers. Sales partners can access the full range of CPH content via the traffics API, the CosmoNaut booking system and the NEXT Internet Booking Engine (IBE). Airlines and flight times are already stored at cache level for all offers and are incorporated directly into the price comparison.
Not just a selection, but the entire range
With the integration of Capital Holidays, traffics now maps the tour operator’s complete portfolio in the cache: all destinations – from Europe through North Africa and the Middle East to the Indian Ocean and South-East Asia – as well as all offer and travel options. Travel agencies, online portals and other distribution partners are therefore no longer limited to a preselected range of particularly popular or attractively priced holidays, but can make the full breadth of CPH’s offerings available to their customers, consistently across all traffics systems.
Particularly for tour operators with a broad long-haul programme, the comprehensiveness of the available content determines whether sales teams can find the right offer, or whether it is simply not visible. Anyone looking for the complete CPH programme on the market today will find it on traffics.
All customer-relevant information is already included in the search
Completeness also encompasses the depth of information: airline details and flight times are stored directly in the cache for all CPH offers and are therefore already available during price comparisons, without the need for subsequent queries. In this way, traffics meets a requirement that has long been standard practice in day-to-day advisory work: customers want to know which airline they will be flying with and at what times as soon as they start comparing offers. For sales teams, this means faster advice, fewer follow-up enquiries and more reliable quotes from the very first click.
This is made possible by the new EXPAND engine
The technical foundation of the integration is the EXPAND engine, launched in June, with which traffics has rebuilt large parts of its caching technology. The engine processes incoming data feeds in ‘on-the-fly’ processes and can store trillions of travel offers, meaning it can provide not just best-price offers but the full spectrum of alternatives, including additional flight options, journey durations and offer variants. The result for sales: up-to-the-minute, comprehensive data and fast response times across all connected APIs and front-ends.
“With Capital Holidays, we are delivering on the promise we made with the EXPAND engine: comprehensive and up-to-the-minute travel offers are not a matter of chance, but a matter of architecture. A tour operator’s entire programme, complete with all flight details, is efficiently cached. That is exactly what we built this technology for.” Marc Herrgott, CEO of traffics
Plans are already underway to integrate further tour operators into the EXPAND Engine.
