Customers of weg.de can now cancel their booked package holidays themselves online, 24 hours a day – securely, transparently and without having to wait on hold at a call centre.
Berlin, 12 August 2026 – Berlin-based travel tech specialist traffics has, in collaboration with lastminute.com, developed and launched a fully digital self-service cancellation process for its German brand, weg.de. Travellers who have booked via weg.de can now cancel their trip independently online – free of charge or for a fee, depending on the fare and timing. The new service is seamlessly integrated into the weg.de website and available round the clock.
Previously, cancellations usually had to be made via the service centre. With the new solution, all it takes is a few clicks: customers access their booking using the transaction number and tour operator; the system checks the booking details and the currently applicable cancellation conditions and fees in real time and displays them transparently. If the customer confirms the cancellation, it is processed immediately and the booking status is updated in real time within weg.de’s systems. A confirmation page and an automatic email provide a complete record of the process.
