traffics repositions itself with a strong team of experts

Berlin (w&p) 4 September 2025 – traffics Softwarelösungen für den Tourismus GmbH, one of the leading technology providers for the tourism industry, is realigning itself with an expanded team of experts for its core business areas. With clearly defined responsibilities, the Berlin-based company aims to set an example for further growth and innovation in the market.

Andy Lita will take over as Director of IT in September, heading up the Software Development & IT divisions. He previously spent three years as General Manager of Digital Services at the Serviceplan Group, where he played a key role in driving digital transformation and service innovation. In previous positions, he also managed international digital projects and led global teams – including at WPP in Germany and Romania, where he established and managed WPP's largest nearshore production hub in Europe, gaining extensive experience in leading IT and digital organisations.

Philipp Hofmann will be responsible for all product development as Senior Product Owner from September. He has been working at smartformance GmbH as IT Project Manager/IT Development for over ten years, where he has played a leading role in the implementation of complex development projects in various tourism environments. In his previous positions, he has acquired in-depth expertise in tourism processes and applications. As Senior Business Analyst, Head of External Flight Systems and Senior Manager for strategic and international large-scale projects, he was responsible for IT management at TUI Deutschland GmbH. With his extensive experience at the interface between IT, business and product development, he brings sound expertise to the further development of traffics products.

Sarah Pfündel will take over responsibility for the national sales team as Director of Sales (national) from October. She spent over six years at Invia Travel Germany, most recently as Director of Supplier Relations and Purchase. With her many years of experience in a wide range of management functions, in expanding and building strong partnerships in the hotel, tour operator, airline, technology and ancillary sectors, she is set to have a decisive influence on traffics' sales strategy. Realignment with a clear vision: "Our goal is to set sustainable standards in the travel industry with our innovative strength. In doing so, we will place a significant focus on the efficiency, performance, diversity and quality of our technologies and products," comments traffics CEO Marc Herrgott.

In addition to the new appointments, Katharina Junghanns and Diana Radtke will also be given more responsibility. "We want to offer our partners and customers greater consulting expertise and availability," Herrgott continues. To this end, this area has been restructured in terms of personnel and placed under the responsibility of Katharina Junghanns as Head of Partner Management & Support. At the same time, a dedicated team of experts will be responsible for the continuous optimisation of traffics data quality in future. The team is interdisciplinary, so that improvements can be implemented without long lead times. A new business analyst has also been hired, who is no stranger to the company. Petra Zierz was most recently head of the Core Applications department at FTI Group, where she was responsible for the BigXtra brand, and is a proven expert in the field of data optimisation and quality. Diana Radtke is responsible for the entire Supplier Management & Data Quality division. Last but not least, the Berlin-based company is pushing ahead with its internationalisation.

In this context, traffics is placing even greater focus on the role of Iacob Pop. He has been with the company for many years and, in his role as Director of International Sales, is primarily responsible for international business, working closely with the parent company Travelsoft and sister companies. With this reorientation, traffics aims to strengthen its role as a driver of innovation in the travel industry. The new management team will focus on driving forward technological development, customer-centric product strategy and close cooperation with sales partners. "With these new appointments, we are gaining proven experts and skilled professionals for our key core areas – the new structure will help us to consistently implement the traffics strategy. We are convinced that this strong management team will set the course for successful and innovative further development and that our customers will benefit even more from innovative solutions, high product quality and first-class service in the future," says Marc Herrgott.
