Berlin (w&p), September 4, 2025 – traffics Softwarelösungen für den Tourismus GmbH, one of the leading technology providers for the travel industry, is repositioning itself with an expanded team of experts across its key business areas. With clearly defined responsibilities, the Berlin-based company aims to set the course for further growth and innovation.
Starting in September, Andy Lita will take over as Director IT, heading Software Development & IT. He previously spent more than three years as General Manager Digital Services at the Serviceplan Group, where he played a key role in driving digital transformation and service innovation. In earlier positions, he led international digital projects and managed global teams – among others at WPP in Germany as well as in Romania, where he built and led WPP’s largest nearshore production hub in Europe, gaining extensive experience in managing IT and digital organizations.
Philipp Hofmann will assume responsibility for product development as Senior Product Owner from September. For more than ten years, he has worked at smartformance GmbH as IT Project Manager/IT Development, where he spearheaded the implementation of complex development projects across various travel environments. In earlier roles, he built deep expertise in travel processes and applications. At TUI Deutschland GmbH, he served as Senior Business Analyst, Head of External Flight Systems, and Senior Manager for strategic and international large-scale projects. With his in-depth experience at the interface of IT, business, and product development, he brings strong expertise to the further development of traffics’ products.
As of October, Sarah Pfündel will join as Director Sales (National), taking charge of the national sales team. She most recently served for over six years at Invia Travel Germany, where she held the role of Director of Supplier Relations and Purchase. With her long-standing experience in various management functions, as well as in building and expanding strong partnerships across the hotel, tour operator, airline, technology, and ancillaries sectors, she is set to play a decisive role in shaping traffics’ sales strategy.
Restructuring with a clear vision
“Our goal is to set sustainable standards in the travel industry through innovation. We will place a strong focus on efficiency, performance, product diversity, and the quality of our technologies and solutions,” says traffics CEO Marc Herrgott.
In addition to the new appointments, Katharina Junghanns and Diana Radtke will also take on more responsibility. “We want to provide our partners and customers with greater consulting expertise and accessibility,” Herrgott continues. To this end, the area has been restructured and placed under the leadership of Katharina Junghanns as Head of Partner Management & Support.
Going forward, a dedicated expert team will also focus on the continuous optimization of traffics’ data quality. This team is set up on an interdisciplinary basis, enabling improvements to be implemented without long lead times. A new hire has also been made in this area: Petra Zierz, most recently Head of Core Applications for the BigXtra brand at the FTI Group, is a recognized expert in data optimization and quality. The entire area of Supplier Management & Data Quality will be led by Diana Radtke.
The Berlin-based company is also driving its internationalization efforts. In this context, traffics will place even greater emphasis on the role of Iacob Pop, who has been with the company for many years and, in his role as Director Sales International, is responsible for international business in close coordination with parent company Travelsoft and its sister companies.
With this restructuring, traffics aims to further strengthen its position as an innovation driver in the travel industry. The new leadership team is set to advance technological development, customer-centric product strategy, and close collaboration with distribution partners.
“With these new appointments, we are gaining proven experts and key competence leaders for our core business areas. The new structure supports us in consistently implementing the traffics strategy. We are convinced that this strong leadership team will set the course for successful and innovative development, enabling our customers to benefit even more from innovative solutions, high product quality, and first-class service in the future,” says Marc Herrgott.
